Bob has been fortunate to make his living in the outdoors for the past 35 years. As a licensed Master Ocean Operator boat captain earlier in his career, to owning his own sports marketing company, as well as working at two of the top vacation resorts in the United States, Bob has fished, taught shotgunning or guided people hunting for his entire life. He was Chief Shooting Instructor for the National Rifle Association (NRA) in Washington, DC, Senior Shooting Instructor for Remington Shooting Schools, Chief Shooting Instructor for Sporting Clays Magazine, Master Shooting Instructor at The Homestead in Virginia, and The Cloister in Sea Island, Georgia, as well as having managed other hunting and fishing operations around the country. Bob’s extensive background in outdoor sports truly enriches the guest experience at Cheyenne Ridge Signature Lodge.

Lodge Administrator – Cindy Edwards cedwards@signaturelodge.com
Cindy has been involved with resort management and the outdoor industry for over 20 years. Cindy and her husband Bob have owned, managed and operated numerous businesses including a “Top Ten” Grady White dealership and rack storage facility on Hilton Head Island, SC. Cindy also worked at The Cloister Resort in the membership department and at The Homestead in Virginia as part of the Purchasing Department team. One of her favorite positions was as Assistant Manager at Deep Water Cay Club in the Bahamas. Cindy was also the sole administrator for the Chevy Tahoe Wildlife Challenge, a 45-event, national sporting clays series run by Sports Marketing Group, a family owned business. As lodge administrator, Cindy insures that all the details regarding a guest’s visit are taken care of and their vacation is a memorable one.

Executive Chef – Daniel Coyt dcoyt@signaturelodge.com
Chef Daniel brings a touch of true Southern hospitality to our South Dakota hunting lodge, combining it with a phenomenal dining experience. Originally from Kentucky, Chef Daniel learned his early culinary skills from his mother and grandmother, furthering his skills through extensive research and “over the stove” experience. His roasted pheasant breast with rosemary smashed reds recipe was featured in Southern Living Magazine, he has cooked for Jillian Michaels, celebrity personal trainer on NBC’s “Biggest Loser” and he’s prepared dishes for Georgia Governor Sonny Perdue. Mr. Coyt also cooked on several occasions for O'Neill Williams, whose "O'Neill Outside" hunting and fishing television show is broadcast on Sun Sports, South Sports and on WSB Radio in Atlanta. When guests come here to enjoy pheasant hunting in South Dakota, Chef Daniel’s passion for cooking, fine wines and attention to detail will be evident at every meal.

Jim Lawhon – Field Sports Director jlawhon@signaturelodge.com
With over 20 years of professional guiding experience, Jim Lawhon has become one of the most respected pheasant and walleye fishing guides in the Pierre, South Dakota area. As Hunt Master and Field Sports Director for Signature Lodge, Jim is the man-in-charge directing the hunting, fishing and outdoors programs. Jim’s personal goal is to insure that each guest staying at Signature Lodge has a memorable experience!

Roger Pederson – Hunting and Fishing – Lead Guide
Roger was raised up on the Missouri River and started fishing at an early age, which lead up to him winning numerous first place and top five finishes in the local fishing tournament circuits. He has also been guiding pheasant hunts and fishing trips out of Cheyenne Ridge Signature Lodge for the last 10 years. Along with his duties as a lead guide for the lodge, Roger also takes pride in his landscaping abilities by maintaining the grounds around the lodge. Being quite a colorful fellow, Roger has become a favorite of many returning guests.

Josh Baldwin – Sales Assistant jbaldwin@signaturelodge.com
As one of the newest Cheyenne Ridge Signature Lodge’s staff, Josh has proven his value as a team player. Earlier in the 2009 season, Josh served in guest services as a bartender and late shift supervisor where he quickly impressed the guests and management. Now serving as Sales Assistant to the Lodge Manager, Josh is responsible for handling correspondence and guest bookings for the upcoming seasons. Josh is pursuing a business degree while working with us and has plans of furthering his career within the company.
